Hello Year 7!

On March 3, 2017, I took the step of founding my consultancy, Gift of Gabrielle in honor of my 30th birthday. This was a decade after completing my master’s degree in Sports and Entertainment Public Relations from Iona University, as well as many years of teaching at top New York universities – Iona University (Goooo Gaels!), St. John’s University, and New York University, to name a few. After successfully serving Disney ABC, Paramount/CBS Corporation, Comcast NBCUniversal and Interpublic Group (IPG)/FCB Global, in various worldwide leadership capacities, I felt empowered to become a #femalefounder.

This year also marks 20 years since I left my hometown of Los Angeles at age 17, with only about $100.00 cash to my name.

This #WomensHistoryMonth, I am reminded that with determination, hard work, and perseverance, the sky's the limit. I am living my wildest dreams. I am forever grateful for my many mentors who aided me along the way Tiffany Smith-Anoa'i, Josie Thomas, Vita Harris, Cynthia “Cindy” Augustine to name a few. I celebrate them this month and always.

Last night, The PR Net recognized the impact that #GiftofGabrielle has had on the industry at large.  I am truly humbled and excited about the future. Here’s to continuing to wear many hats with ease - wife, mother, and global award-winning marketing communications executive.

I want to encourage those who are looking to follow their dreams of working in marketing and communications. I’ve dedicated some time for the remainder of this month to mentor others (the next generation) who are eager, ambitious and committed to success.

Happy Women’s History Month! Let’s continue to make history together.

{#NewYork, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere!}
