My name is Gabrielle Simpson and I'm a branding, communications and media expert. While I'm currently championing diversity and inclusion in Manhattan, my career in media started years before. It goes as far back as my Palisades Charter High School days, where I served as editor-in-chief of The Tideline, our school newspaper, at age 16.

As I mulled over college options, from my vantage point 3,000 miles away in Los Angeles, I knew that I wanted to stay in the entertainment sector, so I looked at schools in New York.  Iona College was the only choice for me.

When my senior year of college arose, I had an abundance of writing samples and real-life experience gained from collegiate opportunities. I got an amazing internship at ABC's Live with Regis & Kelly my senior year, and upon graduation, I was hired as a production assistant. Shortly after, I started my corporate media career at CBS Corporation, where I worked for more than six years.

At age 29, I started teaching graduate marketing and communications courses at NYU. NYU was my dream school in high school, but I didn't get accepted. Now, as a professor, I can't help but be thankful for God's blessings in my life. At 30, I know the best is yet to come!
