Gabrielle N. Simpson is a communications, branding and media expert. With a career that has spanned tenures at many world-renowned media giants, including Comcast NBCUniversal, CBS Corporation and ABC, it was during these years that Gabrielle was often celebrated as a champion for diversity and inclusion. Gabrielle previously served as worldwide Director of Communications and Public Relations at FCB Global. She is yet again making major trailblazing waves as the current Vice President and Head of Communications at Barnard College.
A celebrated speaker and authority on issues of inclusion and diversity, Gabrielle has spoken at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), New York University (NYU), NAACP and the National Urban League, among others. She has been featured in HuffPost, EBONY, Sheen Magazine and other notable publications. At her alma mater, Iona College, Gabrielle presently serves as a career mentor and a board member of the Sports, Entertainment and Media Innovation department, as well as a graduate adjunct professor. Likewise, as a graduate adjunct professor at New York University (NYU) and College of New Rochelle, Gabrielle teaches integrated marketing, digital and social media, advanced public relations, media relations, corporate communications and event planning courses.
An honors graduate of Iona College (M.A., Sports & Entertainment Public Relations, and B.A., Television, Video Production and Film), raised from humble beginnings, Gabrielle acknowledges faith as her reason for success. She is originally from Los Angeles and currently resides in Westchester County, NY.
